Shooting Times and its contributors were among the winners at the seventh Great British Shooting Awards, held at the British Shooting Show at Birmingham’s NEC on 14 February.
More votes were cast for the awards than ever before and there were new categories to celebrate fieldsports publishing, media influencers and sporting contributors. Of the publicly voted winners, Shooting Times won the inaugural Favourite Sporting Media Brand.
ST editor Ollie Harvey said: “It was my honour to collect the award, along with our commercial lead Alex Armstrong, on behalf of ST, but the success of this magazine is the result of the teamwork that goes into each issue. I extend my thanks to our best-in-class contributors, the dedicated subeditors and designers, and the extended team that works on ST week in, week out. We would not deserve this award without your efforts.
“Thanks must also go to the readers who voted for us. I am proud that we continue to produce a magazine that is as valued today as it has been for over 140 years and the ongoing support that you have for the magazine is hugely appreciated. This is your magazine and your community; I am grateful our efforts to represent you have been recognised.”
