Last winter I went goose shooting with a guide and he used a brilliant set of decoys, made like wind-socks, that moved and fluttered in the breeze.
They never failed to draw the birds and I?ve wondered since if anyone makes them for pigeon shooting.
Have you come across any in your travels?
PIGEON SHOOTING
Peter Theobald
With most decoying equipment, the manufacturer has to convince the buyer before the pigeon, that his products will work.
When I first saw the silosock type decoy, I burst out laughing, they were so unrealistic, but the deception works because of the number you can carry and set out.
Shootwarehouse make the best pigeon shooting ones, and they maintain they are one of their best sellers, though I have no personal experience of them.
