Bruce Potts

One of Britain’s best-known sporting rifle writers, Bruce has more than 30 years’ experience as a shooter and wildlife photographer. He learned his stalking on his three uncles’ farms in Kent, bought a Tikka LSA 55 in .308 Win at 17 and still uses it, and has now been stalking roe for over 40 years. Bruce writes and reviews regularly for Shooting Times, covering air rifles, rimfire and centre-fire rifles, reloading, product testing and hunting features, and has a particular interest in custom rifles and in detailed ballistics testing, which has led him to create six wildcat cartridge designs of his own. He is the author of Sporting Rifles and Custom Rifles of Great Britain, and has supplied stills for two books by the roe expert Richard Prior.
