Chris Parkin

A former Great Britain team archer, Chris has established himself as one of the UK’s most respected gun writers, reviewing rifles, optics and accessories for Shooting Times. He is both a hunter and a target shooter, and his rifle and equipment reviews are read keenly by many and widely respected in the industry. A self-described Yorkshireman, Chris was first inspired to shoot by his father, a veterinary surgeon, and describes himself, in fairness, as a shooter first and a hunter second, though he does both. He runs the Chris Parkin Shooting Sports channel on YouTube, covering airguns, rimfires, centrefires, hunting and long-range target shooting, and has presented on ballistics at the British Shooting Show, where he has argued that you do not need a 2,000m range or a custom precision rifle to master the fundamentals.
