A rare opportunity has arisen for an under keeper to join a substantial private sporting estate situated on the Warwickshire/Gloucestershire border

The estate operates a well-established pheasant and partridge shoot across approximately 3,000 acres, with a strong emphasis on delivering a high-quality shooting experience through a programme of private and let shoot days each season. Working closely with the Head Keeper and wider estate team, the successful applicant will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the shoot and wider estate.
The Role
This is a hands-on position requiring a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for gamekeeping and countryside management.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Dogging-in
• Predator and vermin control
• Assisting on shoot days and throughout the sporting season
• Beat and cover crop management
• Maintaining high standards across the estate at all times
The Candidate
Applicants should possess:
• Experience in a gamekeeping role
• Sound knowledge of lowland game management and conservation best practice
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Reliability, integrity and a professional approach to their work
• Own dogs (essential)
• Valid shotgun and firearm certificates
• Full UK driving licence
