The judges deemed this rifle to be everything most deer stalkers who are looking for durability would want. Its accuracy was said to be “off the charts”.

Browning 525 Sporter Laminated. The judges thought this was an impressively styled gun with superb handling

The Browning was said to have all the hallmarks of an extremely reliable gun

CZ 457 Royal rimfire rifle

There was no doubting the accuracy of the elegant CZ and, as its regal name suggests, it behaved with impeccable manners

Pulsar Accolade XP50

The Pulsar Accolade XP50 thermal-imaging binocular impressed the judges. The X-shaped layout of the button control was more comfortable to use than the older in-line style and the small cut-out to fit the bridge of the nose was commented on as a clever design. The sensor is of the highest quality, ensuring fantastic image definition and it boats a fully waterproof IPX7 rating

  • Gold: Pulsar Accolade XP50
  • Silver: Hawke Nature-Trek 10×42
