How can I encourage more roe deer?

My ground holds lots of fallow deer and muntjac but only a handful of roe. How can I encourage roe to proliferate here?

Stalking
JAN ANDREWS says: Don’t hold out your hopes of seeing roe numbers grow on the land you talk about. First and foremost the ground might not be suitable for this type of deer and, instead, it has been colonised by species that find it more to their liking. For instance research shows that muntjac and roe do not mix too well.

What you need to do is call in a deer advisor to give his opinion and institute a deer management policy that encourages the expansion of roe numbers – but only if this is possible.

Remember too that stalkers on adjoining land might cull the animals you are trying to protect and nurture. Where then does that leave your management programme?
