Following an attack by animal rights extremists on a deer farm in Stainborough, South Yorkshire, many escaped deer will have to be shot. Deer farmers Richard and Jenny Elmhirst have already had to suffer the loss of many young fawns and milking females that died from stress after being herded out of the farm. Though some have been gathered in, many of the stags are being shot because of the risk to the public and to motorists on the busy roads surrounding the farm.
