The Royal Berkshire Shooting School, one of the UK’s leading sporting clay grounds, was bought by a private investor, Alexander Newman, earlier this month.

Mr Newman stated: “My objectives are to help drive the businesses to provide more opportunities, significant reinvestment and for clients to understand that the acquisition is simply part of the first big investment we have committed in respect of The Royal Berkshire Shooting School Group.

Dylan Williams, who co-founded the school in 1991 with Bryan Richmond-Dodd, said: “Bryan and I feel that we and all the team have achieved an immense amount in the past 19 years. It was Bryan’s wish to retire as chairman and he has handed the baton over to Alexander, who is extremely keen on shooting and guns and has committed to enhancing the enjoyment of all.”
