Stuck for ideas to keep the kids entertained this Easter break? On 10 April, The Royal Berkshire Shooting School (RBSS) is holding its inaugural ‘Introduction to Game Shooting’ workshop for youngsters aged 11 to 18-years old.

Designed as a comprehensive introduction to the sport, the all-day course starts at RBSS where attendees receive shooting instruction, learn about game species identification, the law concerning shooting and shotgun cleaning.

The chefs from the Pot Kiln pub will also be on hand to teach the children about preparing game for the table.

After lunch, they’ll be whisked off to Well Barn Estate for two exciting drives of simulated game shooting, during which the RBSS’ instructors will provide tuition on shooting etiquette and the safe use of shotguns.

Between drives, the team will discuss the use of cover crops, release pens and the location of pegs on drives.

Each attendee will receive a certificate of attendance.

Cost £150 plus VAT per attendee.

Numbers are limited to 21 for the day.
