Welsh hot-shot Elena Allen of Newport has bagged the bronze medal at the women’s skeet event at the ISSF World Cup.

ISSF World Cup bronze medal for Wales.
Shooting well, she dropped only two targets in the super final at the Southern Counties SG in Dorset to finish behind champion Chiara Cainero of Italy and China’s Ning Wei.

Local shooter Peter Wilson made the finals of the Double Trap event, with a personal best of 143 ex 150. But it was tough going in the final and he finished fifth.

Aaron Heading made the final of the mens’ Olympic Trap and was in contention for a shoot-off for the bronze.

But he dropped his last target and had to settle for fourth.
