These latest figures follow reports that the number of schools introducing rifle ranges has surged since ministers backed shooting sports last year.

More than 1200 young people joined BASC between May 2007 and January 2008 compared to just over a thousand new members in the same period in 2006/2007.

BASC created the youth section of the organisation – Young Shots – to encourage more young people to learn how to shoot safely and responsibly.

The association holds numerous Young Shots days across the UK where young people can try clay shooting and air rifles as well as watching demonstrations on falconry and gundogs.

Head of membership marketing, David Ilsley, said: “The young shots scheme has gone from strength to strength which is great news for the future of shooting sports. We’re hoping to build on this success this year and anyone interested in the young shots scheme should check out our website – http://www.basc.org.uk/content/young_shots.”

Hi, excuse me for writing you, I fear you cannot help me but I will try anyway.
I collect military firearms, I live in Italy, Rome, I have a BRAND NEW “TRIJICON ACOG TA11E”, I wish to sell it because I’m going to replace it with the latest Elcan Specter 6x (upgrade available from October 2009).
To be more precise I am going to sell the integrated optical combat system, pre-assembled, under guarantee, below:

    TRIJICON ACOG TA11E + TRIJICON WING MOUNT MS18 + MINIREDDOT TRIJICON MS04 + STANAG “LA RUE” TACTICAL LT100 QD MOUNT + 3.5×35 SCOPECOAT (TA63)
Every item is flawless, just collected in perfect condition, no shots fired.

All these items are becoming more and more unobtainable and valuable because of present restrictions of the U.S.A. Government about export.

Could you Help me anyway, for instance advising me where I can post it in order to sell it? You can see my post here: http://docs.google.com/View?id=ddmw8hp3_4dbv4rjnm

I apologize again to bother you, looking forward to your reply.

    Kind regards. Luca.
