Can you recommend a good set of heavy-duty hide poles for pigeon shooting with? I’m sick and tired of spending money on poles that bend and buckle when you try to stick them in hard ground.
PIGEON SHOOTING
Peter Theobald
Modern pigeon shooting gear is all about lightness, which means, inevitably, it will not always be particularly strong.
I have a set of poles that were made by the local blacksmith, and are virtually indestructible, but which weigh a ton.
Fine if you don?t have to carry them far, but a real pain if you do.
I know of no commercial company that makes heavy-duty poles, mainly because they would be prohibitively expensive, and most pigeon shooting gear is cheap these days!
