League caught trespassing

Video footage showing two employees of the League Against Cruel Sports (LACS) allegedly trespassing in a wood in the south of England has become an unlikely hit on the video-sharing website YouTube.

The footage, which was given to the online Fieldsports Channel, shows LACS investigator Ed Shephard and head of operations Paul Tillsley trying to retrieve hidden cameras from private land. They were unaware that they were being filmed with their own equipment.

Fieldsports Channel presenter Charlie Jacoby said: ?It?s always satisfying to catch the antis with their proverbial pants down. They were probably keen to film something that they claim contravenes the hunting ban or badger legislation.

?This film does show how LACS? vigilante actions can make living and working in the countryside uncomfortable. You can?t look at a bush without thinking there may be a camera poking out of it.? When Tillsley and Shephard entered the wood, they were unaware that their covert surveillance equipment had been discovered by local hunt supporters who had repositioned it to discover the identity of the snoopers.
