Away from the rugby pitch, you’re likely to see Ceri Sweeney in tweeds. He holds both shotgun and firearms licenses and particularly enjoys driven shooting and deer stalking. As well as having been capped for Wales 35 times, he has also represented the country in fly fishing at Lough Owel, Ireland in 2014.

His enthusiasm for country sports caught the eye of heritage brand Alan Paine, who have made him an ambassador for its country wear, in particular the Compton tweed collection. He joins other sporting representatives: British Ladies Clay Shooting Professional Abbey Ling, Sky Sports At The Races presenter Simon Mapletoft and Jo Mapletoft, Group Sponsorship Manager of Arena Racing Company

The former Wales number 10 is now returning to Pontypridd RFC after two years at Exeter Chiefs. This is a huge boost to the Welsh club who will be hoping to defend their status as Welsh Premiership champions.
