Wildlife photos go on tour

A stunning image of a brown hare in Norfolk has been included in this year?s British Wildlife Photography Awards exhibition, which has begun its year-long nationwide tour.

Ian Paul Haskell?s Hare in Morning Light with Hoar Frost was the winner in the competition?s habitat category. The overall winner was a photo of a jellyfish, taken by Richard Shucksmith at Sula Sgeir, a small uninhabited Scottish island 41 miles north of the Isle of Lewis.

Judge Paul Wilkinson, head of living landscape for the Wildlife Trusts, said: ?This year?s entries reflected a real passion and affection for local wildlife. The competition is a special opportunity to give the natural world that surrounds us the recognition and the reverence it deserves.?
