Clothing for Sim days
What's the right garb?
After an incredible career selling our finest outdoor clothing, we will be saying farewell to our Operations Director, Simon “all-things-Harkila” Esnouf, as he hangs up his boots at the end of April.
We can think of no better way to send him off than with a simulated game day. This will be an opportunity for us to enjoy some brilliant shooting and great food with plenty of banter guaranteed!
Our first stop is to choose a suitable Sim day with the right level of ability for the wide range of skill levels across the team. It’s safe to say that some are better at selling our products than shooting in them.
As part of this farewell day, we have decided to have a best-dressed competition. With a Harkila wardrobe at our fingertips, you may think this shouldn’t be too tricky, however, there is so much to choose from in the latest Spring 2023 collection that it may not be that straightforward.
Like any team of colleagues, we have a real mixed bag of dressers from the eccentric to the super casual to those who won’t be seen without the latest clobber.
Designed with Sim days in mind, we are very proud of the new Rannoch waistcoat which is available in navy and green. Ideal for the casual wearer with a pair of chinos, these have large front pockets for plenty of cartridges and slots for extra padding on the shoulders which are all essential on a sim day.
As much as we are hoping for a lovely spring day, you never can tell what will unfold with the good old English weather so the new and improved Orton Tech HWS jacket will definitely be packed in the car in the event of a downpour.
The Stornoway Active Shooting HSP jacket is windproof so it is sure to be the choice of some of the team and the ladies will be sporting the new Retrieve waistcoat.
Our aim is to give Simon a day to remember whilst using this great opportunity to put the new collection through its paces.
